Loosen, Loosen: Local Plants to Relieve Tension and Hold Space

Let's find some plants to help open us up and make room for the world.

Many beloved Northeast regional plants are considered "antispasmodics": herbs that help relieve muscle tension, making space for our body's processes to move more smoothly. Cramp Bark, Valerian, Skullcap, Motherwort and Blue Vervain are all powerful and reliable plants for this work, and can be found in the fields and forest edges in the Northeast. They are all easily grown in a home garden as well!

In this class, we'll meet some of these locally abundant antispasmodic herbs, explore ethical tending and harvesting, and identify their different affinities for the body, mind and spirit, as well as how to choose the right herb for the right person.

This class is for you if you often find your jaw clenched, chest tight, or shoulders hunched, or if you're just hoping to learn more about the medicinal magic of the plants that grow nearby.

Online class, hosted by Railyard Apothecary. $45. Learn more and register here.
