Root Medicine for Unrooted Times

When times feel ungrounded, we can turn to medicinal roots to remind us what is possible with a solid foundation.

In this class, we will explore the wide variety of medicinal magic found in local roots- common neighbors like Burdock and Barberry as well as garden friends like Marshmallow and Angelica. From bitter flavors to enliven and discern, to soothing qualities that help soften transitions, to deep nutrition to keep us resilient, these common plants have so much to offer through transitions through seasons, challenging times, and shifts in vitality. We can take great strength and comfort from the plants around us!

We will discuss ethical tending, harvesting and preparation, and discern the different energetics that will help you pick the right root for the right person. Students are encouraged to bring questions, curiosity, and any harvested and/or prepared roots they have to this online class.
